Impartiality, Independence and Integrity
We require our staff to act ethically and impartially in the long-term interest of QMS Global, our clients and the communities we have offices in. Our policy is to be notified of any situation, known or perceived, that might potentially create a conflict of interest. To that end, QMS Global follows the principles set out in ISO/IEC 17021: 2006 and has appointed persons independent of the operations of the certification body to safeguard impartiality.
The Committee on Impartiality assists the QMS Global Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities to monitor the integrity of our audit activities and compliance with accreditation body, legal and regulatory requirements. It further reviews the relevant procedures and activities of QMS Global and may investigate any customer complaint or internally driven request for review of our operations. The Committee is empowered to review any and all relationships between a QMS Global executive, shareholder or auditor that bear upon the decision(s) to certify a client organization.
